Estimating

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for custom cabinetry projects.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and formal bid proposals for projects, including detailed scopes of work, pricing, and timelines.
• Collaborate with suppliers to obtain current material pricing and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.
• Coordinate change orders with Customers and HOFF Project managers.
• Analyze past projects to refine and improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
• Track and manage multiple project estimates, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or craftsmanship.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the cabinetry, woodworking, or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and production processes related to custom cabinetry.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Excellent math and analytical skills, with an in-depth knowledge of architectural drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with cabinetry design software (e.g., Microvellum, AutoCAD) is a plus but not required.
