Estimating
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and customer requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for custom cabinetry projects.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs and formal bid proposals for projects, including detailed scopes of work, pricing, and timelines.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain current material pricing and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.
- Coordinate change orders with Customers and HOFF Project managers.
- Analyze past projects to refine and improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- Track and manage multiple project estimates, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and recommendations.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or craftsmanship.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the cabinetry, woodworking, or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and production processes related to custom cabinetry.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent math and analytical skills, with an in-depth knowledge of architectural drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate estimates under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with cabinetry design software (e.g., Microvellum, AutoCAD) is a plus but not required.
